DealToKeysBot

Deal to Keys helps people who are buying a small business find listings that fit what they are looking for. To do that we read public listing pages from sites that allow it, and we send buyers back to the original listing.

How we identify ourselves

Every request carries this user agent, and nothing else:

DealToKeysBot/1.0 (+https://dealtokeys.com/bot)

We do not rotate IP addresses, hide behind a browser user agent, solve CAPTCHAs or get around blocks.

How we behave

• We read robots.txt first, cache it for up to a week, and obey Disallow and Crawl-delay for the DealToKeysBot name (or *).
• We never make more than one request every 5 to 10 seconds to a site, and we fetch each listing page at most once a day.
• We only crawl sites after checking their robots rules and terms. If a site's terms do not allow automated access, we do not crawl it.
• If a site answers 403 or 429, or shows a CAPTCHA or challenge page, we stop at once and do not try again until a person here has talked to the site.
• We do not crawl BizBuySell, BizQuest or LoopNet.

What we keep

• Facts: asking price, cash flow or SDE, revenue, city and metro, industry, year established, the broker's name, and a link back to your listing.
• A short title and one-line summary in our own words, written from those facts (sometimes with help from an AI model).
• We do not copy your descriptions or photos. Every listing we show links to the original page.

Opt out, or ask us to remove listings

• Add User-agent: DealToKeysBot and Disallow: / to your robots.txt. We pick that up within a week.
• Or tell us below, or email [email protected]. We remove the site and purge its listings within 24 hours.
